Hosting is a way of placing a website on the Internet. Once you have placed your website on the server - anyone can access it by typing the domain name in the browser. Access to the site is possible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
In order to place your web site on the network, you must:
- first of all, to have your own website. You need to have a copy of the site on your local computer (in html-files), or finished materials + script that would allow to create a Web site directly on the server.
- Domain name. You need to find and purchase a domain name of the site. It is desirable that the name says about the subject of the site, and it would be easy to remember a domain name. A domain name can be in any of your choice, the blast zone, for example: .com .net .org .ru etc. When choosing a domain zone, follow the topics of domains. Domains .com, for example, is designed for business oriented sites, org – for state institutions and public organizations. Regional domains indicate affiliation of the site for any region. This is not obligatory rule, but it is worth to remember about this.
