Cooling and humidity
The data center is equipped with special air conditioning to maintain the stability of temperature and humidity, which is optimal for work of server hardware. Conditioners fully duplicated - in case of failure of one air conditioner the reserve conditioner starts to work immediately.
Power
Two independent main power cables come to Data center from the two substations of the company Latvenergo.
For increasing of stability and continuity of operation of data center, a powerful diesel generator with automatic start was set. Special system monitors the electricity supply and the failure of one of the 3 connections automatically switches the source of power.
All servers in our data center are connected to electricity via UPS (in order to avoid a short interruption during the switching of the source of power supply).
Network connection
To the data center come two independent fiber optic cables. Each is connected to different points of Riga Peering exchange and forms a ring, which eliminates the interruption in the network infrastructure.
Internet connection
Data Center is connected to both the Latvian Internet Exchange points LIX (www.lix.lv) and SMILE (www.smile-ixp.net), thus we have the full reservation for Latvian resources. Data center is connected to international resources via 3 independent providers - Lattelecom, Telia Latvija, RETN.
These connections provide stabil and continual access to international resources.
